Meet and greet 9 PM at departure gate at Delta International Terminal at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta Airport in Georgia. Flight departs at 11:23 PM on Delta Airlines flight # DL 61 nonstop direct to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

DAY 2 SATURDAY JULY 22 WELCOME to RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL

 – SAMBA CLUB

Delta Flight # DL 61 arrives at 10 AM. Welcome to Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. After being welcomed on arrival in Rio de Janeiro, your Brazil tour guide describes the marvelous city during the journey introduction. Go through the hotel area which is by Copacabana and Ipanema Beaches, the 2 most popular scenery. You will pass along the edge of Guanabara Bay, with first glimpses of the city, the statue of Christ the Redeemer and Sugar Loaf Mountain. After a little orientation of the city and the area around your hotel. Transfer to Hotel Royalty Cocapabana for check in and orientation. Afternoon set aside to get rest and settled inDinner with welcome reception at a typical Brazilian restaurant and dancing at a Samba club. DAY 3 SUNDAY JULY 23 RIO – CORCOVADO MOUNTAIN – PAO DE ACUCAR CABLE CAR VIEW – SANTA TERESA

Wake up call, morning exercise and breakfast. 8 AM leave hotel for Corcovado Tour. This tour starts at the Corcovado Hill, located in the Tijuca Atlantic Forest, the largest urban forest in the world where the statue of Christ the Redeemer is located. The Corcovado Hill, together with D. Marta belvedere, is a mandatory tour in Rio for the beauty of the sightseeing from both locations. From the Corcovado, you can see the beaches of Copacabana, Ipanema and Leblon, the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon in the district of Lagoa in the Zona Sul (South Zone) area of Rio de Janeiro. The lagoon is connected to the Atlantic Ocean, allowing sea water to enter by a canal. Pass the Rio Botanical Gardens in the shadow of Christ the Redeemer. The gardens contain an array of tropical species, with palms, orchids and the pau brasil tree that gave its name to the country watched over by monkeys and toucans.

Sugar Loaf Mountain Tour, from here proceed to the base of the famous Rio landmark, the Pao de Acucar. Board the first of two cable cars to the smaller of these two mountains off the coast of Rio. Then continue up on yet another cable car to the summit of the second mountain. The view from this peak of the city of Rio, Guanabara Bay, and the ocean is breathtaking. Here you have the opportunity to take your time admiring the gardens, walkways and magnificent panoramas. After a time, descend to the base at Urca Beach.

Drive to the charming Santa Teresa district. Today Santa Teresa is enjoying a renaissance as artists and bohemians who have moved to the area are renovating this funky and colorful part of Rio. Take a tour to Santa Teresa, walk down cobblestone streets among the the district's interesting architecture. Admire sprawling views of greater Rio de Janeiro. Climb the Selarón Staircase, they are the work of Chilean-born artist Selarón who claimed it as "my tribute to the Brazilian people.Dinner and various night life options. DAY 4 MONDAY JULY 24 LITTLE AFRICA – FAVELA TOUR

Wake up call, morning exercise and breakfast. 9 AM leave hotel for Rio de Janeiro historical and cultural center tour. The main focus is the rich and significant history in Little Africa. Samba, soccer, and Rio’s bohemian lifestyle can all trace their roots to the port area’s Little Africa neighborhood. Rio’s port was the last slave market in the Americas to close and the African enslave population that worked there had a heavy influence on the culture of the city. You will also see other parts of Rio’s historic downtown, including awesome architecture, cultural centers, and street art. Visit a favela and meet blackcommunity leaders and hear their stories. We will cut through the stereotypes and sensationalist headlines, and explore the favela in safety. Dinner and various night life options. Beautiful Beaches of Rio De Janeiro

DAY 5 TUESDAY JULY 25 RIO DE JANEIRO FREE DAY

Morning exercise and breakfast. Free day perfect for optional tours, shopping and more. Your day in Rio can also be spent relaxing on Copacabana or Ipanema Beach or walking around the Rodrigo de Freitas Lagoon. If you prefer to fill your days there are many other ideas around Rio that might appeal to you. You can take boat trips out on the ocean or around the bay; museum tours can include the Imperial & National Museums, Samba City, the Carmen Miranda or the Diamond Museums. You can cross the bay to MAC, with impressive views back to Rio. A day at the wild beaches at the edge of the city, Prainha & Grumari, is another possibility. Adventurous activities such as hiking, tandem hang-gliding and kayaking can also be included. Farwell Dinner and various night life options. Overnight at Hotel Royalty Cocapabana.

 City of Salvador De Bahia

 DAY 6 WEDNESDAY JULY 26 RIO DE JANEIRO TO SALVADOR DA BAHIA – AFRICAN-BRAZILIAN CULTURAL CAPITAL UPPER CITY

6 AM early morning check out of Hotel Royalty Cocapabana for flight to Salvador da Bahia. Transfer to Rio de Janeiro International Airport. Check into GOL Linhas Aereas for 8:40 AM flight nonstop directly to Salvador. Inflight you will fly over the beautiful coastline of Bahia. The last hour or so passes over miles of palm trees, white-sand beaches, reef, and mangrove islands. Arrive at 10:40 AM, welcome to Salvador- Bahia. DAY 7 THURSDAY JULY 27 SALVADOR DA BAHIA CITY TOUR – AFRICAN-BRAZILIAN CULTURAL CAPITAL UPPER CITY

Wake up call, morning exercise and breakfast. 8 AM leave hotel for Salvador City tour. African-oriented Historical City tour which combines the newer, modern section and the older Historical Center of Salvador, the Pelourinho area, so called after the pillory which stood in the main square, in front of the central slave market. Pass by the Teatro Castro Alves, home to the Bahian Symphony Orchestra and on to the Balé (ballet) de Castro Alves. The Forte de São Pedro and Praça Castro Alves are on route to the Historical Center of Pelourinho, which offers something to see along every street. This square contained the whipping post where Africans were sold as slaves. View the historical churches, cafes, restaurants, shops and pastel-hued buildings. With more than a thousand houses, churches and monuments built since the 16th century, Salvador makes up the greatest collection of Baroque architectural heritage in Latin America. Visit the African-Brazilian Museum that traces the West African origins of the city. See the superb wooden, sculpted panels of the Orixás by Salvador’s most celebrated artist, Carybé. Visit the famous Black church Our Lady of the Rosary, built with meager resources over a period of almost 100 years. Dinner and various night life options. Overnight at Hotel Golden Tulip.

DAY 8 FRIDAY JULY 28 SALVADOR DA BAHIA CITY TOUR – AFRICAN-BRAZILIAN CULTURAL CAPITAL – LOWER CITY

Wake up call, morning exercise and breakfast. 8 AM leave hotel for Salvador City tour. We will start at the Barra Lighthouse and fort at the entrance of All Saints Bay and continues via the port which unloaded boats from Africa. Considered one of Salvador’s historical landmarks, the Barra Lighthouse is located in the Santo Antônio Fort, at the Barra Beach, and it is one of the main hallmarks of Bahia’s capital city. With a breathtaking view of All Saints Bay, the Lighthouse is a perfect spot to watch the sun set over the sea. Visit the Iemanjá's house in Rio Vermelho. Move on to visit Dique do Tororó, one of the most beautiful and famous postcards of Salvador. Built in the 18th century, with a pond of around 110 thousand square meters. It features twelve sculptures of the “Orixás” (African deities) signed by the artist Tati Moreno. Visit the Lacerda Elevator which was the first public elevator in the world. Opened in Salvador in 1873 for the main access point between Uptown and Downtown, transporting 900,000 passengers per month in 30-second trips. Featuring an art deco style and 72 m in height, the Elevator provides a beautiful overview of the All Saints Bay. End of your tour at the Mercado Modelo handicraft market the best place in Salvador for souvenirs and shopping. Time to bargain. Dinner and various night life options. Check into GOL Linhas Aereas for 2:25 PM flight nonstop directly to Rio de Janeiro and arrive at 4:35 PM. 5 hour layover at Rio de Janeiro International Airport for nonstop direct flight to Atlanta, Georgia. Depart on Delta flight # DL 60 at 9:50 PM and arrive the next day Monday July 31 at 6:35 AM.
